Will it work with my phone?
If your phone has Bluetooth, yes. iPhone and Android both pair fine.
It runs off the number and plan you already have, so there is no second line to set up, no SIM card to buy and nothing extra on your monthly bill.
Do I need a landline?
No. There is no jack to plug into and no phone company involved. The handset talks to the phone in your pocket over Bluetooth, and that is the whole setup.
What about batteries?
None to buy. There is a rechargeable battery inside that tops up over USB-C. Expect roughly 5 hours of talking or about 30 days sitting on standby, so most people charge it once a month and forget about it.
The cable is in the box. A wall plug is not, but any USB-C charger you already own will do it.
How do I actually make a call?
- Turn on Bluetooth and pair it to your smartphone. Takes about two minutes.
- Put it anywhere flat and keep your smartphone in range.
- When a call comes in, the phone rings. Lift the handset and talk.
- To dial out, press the function button to bring up your voice assistant and say who you want. "Call Olivia" works. So does "Text Mom, goodnight".
- Drop the handset back in the cradle to hang up. That part is the whole point.
Can I connect more than one phone?
One at a time. You can unpair and switch to a different phone whenever you like, it just will not hold two connections at once.
How big is it?
The base measures 14.5 by 14.5 by 17 cm, which is 5.7 by 5.7 by 6.7 inches. It takes up about as much room as a desk plant and looks considerably better.
What comes in the box?
The handset with its woven curly cord, the rotary base, and a USB-C charging cable.
